1996 -- 1997

Patrick  Ritchie and Chad Boudreaux won the LHSAA Division I State High School Wrestling Championship.  In the Louisiana State Wrestling Tournament the team took home the Third Place honor.  Boudreaux (whose weight rose from 112 pounds the before to 135 pounds) broke his own Rummel record (2 time winner) to became the first 3 time State Champion.  Ritchie (119 pounds) Rummel State Champion.  State Runner-Up titles went to Todd McConnel (112 pounds) and Keith Tomlinson, the Heavyweight State Runner-Up. The 3rd place title was taken by Todd Gilreth at 145 pounds.  Robert Fitzpatrick (140 pounds) placed 5th and Scott Welty (125 pounds) earned 6th Place in the state.

 

The baseball team won the District Prep Championship and went on the take the state title.

The Genesian Players produced You Can't Take It With You, A Hatful of Rain, and Ten Little Indians during the academic year.
