1983 - 1984

Archbishop Rummel High School was recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a Blue Ribbon School.

Coach Doyle led the Raiders to win the state track and field Championship.  

Kevin Vicknair was the 138 pound State Runner-Up in wrestling.  Chad Franks at 98 pounds took 3rd Place.

 

The Genesian Players produced The Dark At The Top Of The Stairs, The George And The Dragon, and The Crucible during the academic year.

Football

Geore Ryan, who had a been a Raider coaching assistant for 12-years, was named headcoach in 1983.

Track

Raiders made the first round of the state playoff but lost to B.T. Washington by one point -- 48-47.
