1976 - 1977

Barry Bordonaro (145 pounds) won the LHSAA Division I State High School Wrestling Championship.  Bobby Dale (185 pounds) was the State Runner-Up.  Taking the sixth place titles were Charles Leblanc (98 pounds), Louis Mercier (155 pounds), and Mike Dale (167 pounds).

The Genesian Players produced Picnic, Sandbox, Dracula (Faculty) as well as the one act plays Hello Out There (Directed by Bob Roso), Plaza Suite, The Apple Tree, This Property is Condemned (Directed by Chip Stelz), and Prisoner of 2nd Avenue (Directed by Craig Frosch) during the academic year.

The section of the campus bordering West Napopleon Avenue was acquired in 1976 at a cost of $200,000.
Brother John Farifax was awarded the school’s first Honorary Diploma at graduation on May 22, 1977.
